Training in human right for women Nairobi

From 1st to 14th November 2009 in Nairobi held training on human right for women in east Africa. The training is organized by the Africa Youth Trust with the support of Swedish International for Development Agency « SIDA ».
Participants were coming from six countries such as Burundi, Rwanda, and Tanzania, Uganda Kenya, Ethiopia and concerned leaders of youth in those countries.
During this training, I had opportunity to share experiences about different projects implemented in other countries and different international instruments being used on all program relating to gender issue.
This last week, we were learning experiences from Liberia, Somalia and Seara Leone
Different instruments as Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women “CEDAW”, International Humanitarian Law, and United Nations Resolution 1325, Universal Declaration on Human Right….were in the center of discussion.I appreciated much this training which gives me opportunity to improve my knowledge and advocacy for women ex-combatants in Burundi
